How SoloCruz publishes information

Editorial and catalogue policy

SoloCruz separates stored cruise records, traveler-published listings, and editorial guidance so readers can understand what each page represents and what should be verified before booking.

Our purpose

SoloCruz helps travelers choose a sailing and find a potential cabin mate before booking. We do not sell cruises, act as a cruise line, or guarantee that a fare or cabin remains available. The final itinerary, price, taxes, fees, entry requirements, accessibility arrangements, and booking terms must be confirmed with the cruise provider.

How catalogue records are created

Cruise pages are built from stored records obtained from identified cruise or travel-provider pages and feeds. A record can include the ship, line, dates, route, duration, departure port, arrival port, and a saved starting fare. Each detail page states when the record was last refreshed and links travelers back to the current booking decision.

Catalogue data changes frequently. A stored price is a reference point, not a quote. If a required field is missing, a sailing has departed, or the record is no longer useful, SoloCruz may remove it from search indexing while keeping the catalogue workflow available to travelers.

Traveler listings are different

A cabin-mate search is created and deliberately published by a registered traveler. It reflects that traveler’s stated plans and preferences; it is not an endorsement by SoloCruz. Public listings expose only the fields intended for matching. Travelers should discuss compatibility, verify identity and booking details, and avoid sending money to another traveler merely because they met through the service.

Listings can be reported, moderated, unpublished, matched, or expired. Safety and privacy controls take priority over keeping a listing visible.

Editorial review standard

Guides should answer a real cruise-planning question, distinguish general advice from cruise-line or destination-specific rules, and avoid presenting changing policies as universal facts. Automation may assist research, drafting, translation, or formatting, but it does not make a claim reliable by itself.

Before an article is promoted for search, material claims should be checked against current primary sources where practical. Advice involving passports, visas, health, insurance, accessibility, payments, safety, or a cruise line’s contractual rules requires particular care and should direct readers to the responsible authority or provider.

Corrections and updates

When a page is inaccurate, outdated, duplicative, or insufficiently useful, SoloCruz may correct it, combine it with a stronger guide, remove it from the sitemap, or exclude it from search until it has been reviewed. We do not preserve an unsupported claim merely because it previously appeared in search results.

To report an error, include the page URL, the disputed statement, and a reliable supporting source in an email to [email protected]. Product, privacy, and illegal-content reports can also be submitted through the relevant controls on the site.
